When saving your child’s stem cells with Cryo-Save there are no hidden costs, like annual fees or extra charges for the standard testing of the samples.
During examination and preparation, the stem cells are preserved using state-of-the-art technology and their quantity and quality determined. Thus, we separate the stem cell fraction instead of storing whole blood.
Cryo-Save stands for high quality and service at a fair price.
The total fee to include administration/procurement, transportation, processing and storage for the first 25 years of stem cell storage is £1645.00. This can be broken down as follows:
SUBSCRIPTION FEE
An initial deposit of £195 for enrolment (the “Subscription Fee”) is payable before the birth of the child. Upon receipt by Cryo-Save of the signed Agreement, the collection kit will be sent to you.
Please note: The Subscription Fee will be increased to include extra transport costs for distant countries.
SERVICE FEE
The Service Fee includes the processing, testing, cryopreservation and storage during the initial storage period of 25 years.
A Service Fee of £1450.00 will be invoiced to you after birth and successful storage of cord blood stem cells.
ADDITIONAL FEES
Additional fees may be charged if additional testing is required; e.g. because of abnormal lab test results, or if required by local or international regulations (e.g. eventually required maternal blood tests).
SPECIAL REDUCTIONS
In case of twins, a customer is entitled to receive a 25% reduction on the Service Fee for the second twin.
AFTER 25 YEARS
After 25 years you can choose to continue to keep your stem cells saved at Cryo-Save. Continued storage after this initial period, will be at the market prices valid at that time. We can only give a rough indication of the expected price for continuation. Today, we estimate the annual price would be in the range of £35. Giving an exact price for the continued storage after 25 years, is impossible since it will depend on factors such as new regulations, storage techniques, inflation and/or costs of materials, staff, facilities and equipment needed, to name a few.
