Cryo-Save Group is actively involved in research & development through different collaborations with universities, foundations and other biotech companies. A predetermined amount of the EBIT is dedicated to research and development in applications with short-term potential.

 

• Cryobiology: development of new cryoprotectants and methods for cryopreservation of cell lines and tissues in collaboration with Fraunhofer Institute, Germany
  
• Clinical studies in stem cell therapies: trials on Multiple Sclerosis are supported (Charcot Foundation), NASH protocol (NonAlcoholic SteatoHepatitis) with University Hospital Antwerp
  
• Characterisation, culture and isolation of different types of stem cells from different origins (University Köln)
  
• Other stem cell applications and device development with different organistaions (Transfusion Centers, Biosafe etc), prospects in research on diabetes.
  
• New product developments and applications on mesenchymal stem cells.
