When saving your child’s stem cells with Cryo-Save there are no hidden costs, like annual fees or extra charges for the standard testing of the samples. Besides, we go the extra mile to warrant the best possible outcome. During examination and preparation, the stem cells are preserved using state-of-the-art technology and their quantity and quality will be determined. Thus, we separate the stem cell fraction instead of storing whole blood. The sample is then divided into two containers and conserved below -196°C in the vapour phase of liquid nitrogen at two physically separated locations for additional safety. Cryo-Save stands for high quality and service at a fair price.
The total fee of our CryoCord cord blood service is Rs. 75,000 - for collection, transport, processing of cord blood and the first 21 years of stem cell storage. The brakedown of our fees can be found below.
Umbilical Cord lining
At the request of the client and upon reciept of consent, Cryo-Save will collect, carry out the preliminary process and cryo store ten centimetres of Umbilical Cord lining (Wharton Jelly), which is considered to be a good source of Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC).
If the client agrees, Cryo-Save will provide storage along with the client's cord blood on a complimentary basis. The additional charges for collection, transportation and preliminary process will be borne by the client at a cost of Rs 15,000.
In case the client agrees to store the baby's cord blood and cord lining together, a fee of Rs 90,000 will be payable to Cryo-Save for its services.
SERVICE FEE
The total fee includes the administration, Collection Kit, transport, processing, testing, cryopreservation and storage during the Initial Storage Period of 21 years.
ADDITIONAL FEES
Additional fees may be charged if additional testing is required; e.g. because of abnormal lab test results, or if required by local or international regulations (e.g. eventually required maternal blood tests).
AFTER 21 YEARS
After 21 years you can choose to continue to keep your stem cells saved at Cryo-Save. Continued storage after this initial period, will be at the market prices valid at that time. We can only give a rough indication of the expected price for continuation. Today, we estimate the annual price would be in the range of EUR 40. Giving an exact price for the continued storage after 21 years, is impossible since it will depend on factors such as new regulations, storage techniques, inflation and/or costs of materials, staff, facilities and equipment needed, to name a few.
